Our weekly music groups give your child more than a fun class, they build confidence, creativity, coordination and connection. Music is a powerful early learning tool and our play based sessions help little learners strengthen skills in listening, communication, memory, social interaction, movement and emotional development. Every class is voice led and interactive, allowing children to respond naturally through movement, sound and play. Our trained educators adapt the flow of each session to suit the group, making the experience warm, engaging and child centred.
Parent participation depends on the policies and supervision requirements of each childcare or preschool centre. Mini Musos follows the rules of the service we are visiting, including staffing ratios, safety guidelines and centre procedures. Some centres may invite parents to join for special sessions or events, while others require all learning experiences to be supervised solely by educators. We fully support whichever approach the centre has in place. Regardless of the structure, Mini Musos ensures every child feels engaged, supported and included with educators actively involved in the music making, movement and play throughout the session.
Every child learns differently and that’s completely okay. Active children may move around, dance, wander or explore. They are still learning through sound, rhythm, repetition and movement. Quiet or shy children often take time to warm up. Listening and watching are valid forms of participation and over time their confidence usually blossoms. Our classes are designed to feel safe and predictable, allowing children to engage at their own pace.
Children learn best when they feel supported, calm and excited to explore. Here’s how we help little learners get the most out of every Mini Musos session:
Our goal is for each child to feel joyful, supported and proud of what they discover in every class.
Mini Musos classes are led by trained, passionate educators with a strong understanding of early childhood development, music learning and child centred teaching. Our focus is always on safety, connection and building confidence through music.
Our lessons are created specifically for children in early childhood education services, including long day care, preschools, and early learning centres.
Music helps little learners grow in incredible ways. It boosts their speech, coordination, focus, confidence and social skills. It also encourages creativity, self expression, and joy, all while supporting healthy brain development.
Mini Musos sessions are structured around play, repetition and routine, helping children feel secure and confident. We start with a familiar welcome song, explore music through movement, instruments and imagination, and finish with a gentle closing activity. Educators scaffold learning, model participation, and respond to children’s interests and abilities.
We offer specially-designed music sessions for childcare settings, family day care, kindergartens and pre-prep groups. These are short, interactive classes that become part of your centre’s weekly rhythm.
Each session is led live, with voice and instruments, and follows a flexible plan that responds to the children’s energy and interests.
The approach is child-centred: our educator adapts to the moment, so the class remains meaningful and alive for the group.
We offer flexible delivery models for centres:
Weekly class model: Every child at a centre joins the 30-minute session weekly as part of the program.
Special interactive event: A one-off music group that works as a fun event, perfect for under-twos or mixed age groups in day-care.
Music supports so much of early learning: movement, listening, social interaction, emotional regulation, language, coordination. Integrating live, responsive music helps children connect, explore, focus and improves readiness for the next stage of learning.
